Job summary

Quest Employment Ltd. is recruiting a CNC Router Programmer / Operator in Northampton for a permanent, full-time role. You will program, set and operate 3-Axis CNC routers to manufacture components to customer specifications within a clean, well-equipped workshop.

You will read technical drawings, maintain machines, ensure quality, and work closely with the team to meet production deadlines. Overtime is available; a reliable, detail-focused mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience programming and operating 3-Axis CNC routers.
• Experience machining MDF, plywood, melamine-faced boards.
• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
• Good understanding of CNC machine maintenance and care.
• Excellent timekeeping and reliability.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Positive attitude and willingness to support the wider team.
• Joinery or woodworking experience would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Programming and operating 3-Axis CNC routers.
• Machining MDF, plywood, melamine-faced boards and other sheet materials.
• Reading and working from technical drawings and job specifications.
• Carrying out routine machine maintenance and daily checks.
• Checking quality throughout the manufacturing process.
• Ensuring work is completed accurately and efficiently.
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working area.
• Working closely with the wider team to meet production deadlines.
• Following all health and safety procedures.
