Job summary

The Pearson Whiffin Recruitment Group is seeking a Factory Operative / CNC Machining Op to join a busy manufacturing operation in Rochester. The role offers permanent night shifts (after training) with a 46-hour week and a starting salary of £13.74 per hour.

You'll process components across CNC turning, CNC milling, manual turning, milling and drilling, requiring at least 2 years of CNC experience and a hands-on approach within a safety-conscious environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' CNC experience.
• Experience in a manufacturing, engineering or machining environment.
• Experience operating CNC machinery.
• CNC turning and/or CNC milling experience.
• Experience with metal components or castings is advantageous.
• Practical, hands-on production workability.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
• Able to follow technical instructions and production documentation.
• Comfortable with manual handling.
• Willingness to undertake varied machining and finishing duties.
• Comfortable with permanent night shifts after training.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC turning and milling machinery in a busy machining environment.
• Process castings across multiple machining operations.
• Complete job cards and record work accurately.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas.
• Follow work instructions and production documentation.
• Support 5S standards and housekeeping.
