Job summary

Yolk Recruitment are partnered with a leading high-precision manufacturing business in Plymouth to recruit a CNC Setter/Operator for permanent night shifts. The role pays around £39,000 and offers progression within a world-class operation manufacturing high quality components.

You will set and/or operate CNC machines, read engineering drawings, perform first-off inspections and in-process checks, and work safely to procedures. Training and development are available.

Qualifications

• Experience and/or knowledge of machining processes in a precision engineering environment.
• Able to read engineering drawings.
• Experience using inspection and measuring equipment.
• Formal engineering qualification is advantageous but experience also values.

Responsibilities

• Setting and/or operating CNC machines.
• Producing components to engineering specifications.
• Carrying out first-off inspections and in-process checks.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.

You'll have the opportunity to progression and broaden your experience across different machines, develop your technical knowledge, and work with modern equipment and advanced machining techniques.

This is a shift role, working permanent nights shift. You'll work Sunday night through Friday morning . Your shift starts at 10:00pm on Sunday with each shift finishing at 6:00am the following morning (5 shifts per week). Opportunities for other shift patterns available in the future. Overtime is available and the business offers a well-developed benefits package.
