Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience in a care role; dementia, brain injury, and nursing home settings desirable.
• Care Certificate or equivalent typically desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work in a team.
• Cheerful, compassionate, respectful, and caring approach.
• Understanding of vulnerable adults' needs and desire to contribute.
• Ability to work on own initiative.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support to residents, including daily living activities.
• Engage residents in therapeutic activities to promote recovery and reduce distress.
• Observe and document residents’ conditions, noting changes and reporting to nursing staff.
• Create a safe, compassionate environment; respect dignity and privacy.
• Work with nurses, psychiatrists, and social workers to implement care plans.
• Recognise signs of distress and respond to ensure safety and wellbeing.
