Job summary

Skycare is recruiting enthusiastic Healthcare Assistants to support residents to live fulfilled and active lives. The role covers home care, private sector and supported living settings, with 3-4 shifts per week including weekends.

You will work under the Registered Manager, provide high-quality, person-centred care, maintain dignity and independence, and complete daily records. DBS check and references required; 18+.

Qualifications

• Genuine interest in working within a caring environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
• Team player with a caring mindset.
• Willingness to participate in Vocational Training Programmes.
• Satisfactory DBS check and PVG/POVA checks where applicable.
• Right to work in the UK and no sponsorship needed.
• NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care preferred not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high levels of care in daily living tasks.
• Support clients with physical, emotional, and spiritual needs while preserving dignity.
• Assist clients with mobility and daily activities.
• Record daily care notes and updates per policy.
• Respond to Nursecall and door/phone inquiries.
• Contribute to a positive, welcoming environment for residents.
