Job summary

Birmingham Children's Trust is seeking a Family Finding and Permanence Social Worker to lead proactive family-finding and placement activities, ensuring timely, stable fostering arrangements for children and young people in Birmingham.

You will develop high-quality child profiles and marketing materials, work with fostering services and external providers, and engage in innovative recruitment to attract carers for older children, sibling groups, and complex needs.

Qualifications

• Experience in family finding/placements for foster care.
• Ability to develop child profiles and promotional materials.
• Collaborative work with fostering services and external providers.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and permanence planning.

Responsibilities

• Undertake family-finding/placement finding for foster care and permanence.
• Build relationships with social workers and placement services.
• Provide specialist advice on opportunities and barriers to permanence.
