The Portsmouth Academy seeks a Peripatetic Music Teacher - Piano to inspire the next generation of musicians and contribute to a vibrant musical life across KS3 and KS4.

You will work closely with the Music Department, delivering piano tuition and supporting the wider extracurricular programme, performances and events. DBS checks and safeguarding are in place for this role.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level in Music or related subject.
• High level of skill and experience in teaching Piano across KS3 & 4.
• Experience of delivering 1-1 musical tuition.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Support the work of the department and the extra-curricular programme.
• Contribute to the values, ethos and the development of our schools.

Responsabilités

• Teach piano across KS3 and KS4 with due regard to the curriculum.
• Deliver 1-on-1 piano tuition to develop individual pupil progress.
• Support the Music Department and broaden participation through enrichment and extracurricular activities.

About The Role

The Portsmouth Academy seeks to appoint a Peripatetic Music Teacher - Piano to join our team and inspire the next generation of musicians.

The successful candidate will play an integral role in supporting our students to learn and advance their music skills at all levels across KS3 and 4. You will work closely with the Music Department to support students with a range of abilities bringing creativity and enthusiasm to your teaching.

You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the wider musical life of the academy through performances, enrichment and the wider extra-curricular programme.
