Ashford & St. Peter's Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Staff Nurse for the Day Surgery Unit in Ashford.

This role offers a rotation through ward, day theatres and recovery, with in-house training and opportunities to attend conferences and external training. The successful candidate will join a team delivering perioperative care, providing safe, high-quality nursing across multiple surgical specialties.

Formación

• NMC registration is required.
• Experience in hospital settings is preferred.
• Experience in perioperative care is desirable but training will be provided.
• Willingness to rotate across areas and undertake training.

Responsabilidades

• Provide specialist support and knowledge within the Day Surgery Unit (Ward, Day Theatres & Recovery).
• Act as a role model to promote excellence in Theatres and ward practice.
• Deliver skilled, patient-focused care and lead in planning and delivery of individualised care.
• Rotate to other specialties to extend knowledge and skills.
• Be competent in current emergency resuscitation techniques.
• Report incidents and take remedial action where appropriate.
• Keep up to date with new equipment and procedures.
• Participate in clinical audit and research to promote changes in practice.
• Maintain infection control practices including hand hygiene.
