Ashford and St Peter's Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking experienced Staff Nurses to join the Eye Ward on site across Ashford, St Peter's and Woking. You will work autonomously, communicate with patients about upcoming surgery and clinical diagnosis, and support junior nursing and HCWs in training.

We value strong assessment and decision-making, excellent communication within a multidisciplinary team, and compassionate care. Ophthalmology experience is desirable but not essential.

Formación

• Excellent communication skills within a multidisciplinary team.
• Ability to recognise emergencies and escalate concerns.
• Experience in ophthalmology is desirable but not essential.

Responsabilidades

• Provide information to patients about upcoming surgery and clinical diagnosis.
• Assess and monitor patients in the Eye Ward and administer prescribed medications.
• Take charge of the unit in the absence of the Eye Unit Sister on a shift basis.
• Mentor junior nurses and healthcare support workers.
