Job summary

Ashford and St. Peter's Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a registered nurse to join the Day Surgery Unit and Perioperative team.

The role involves working from admission through discharge, rotating within the perioperative department, and training junior staff while maintaining patient safety and high-quality care. You will contribute to infection control, incident reporting, and ongoing professional development, with opportunities for research and audit within a forward‑looking NHS

Qualifications

• NMC registered nurse with hospital experience.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to rotate across perioperative areas.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist support in Day Surgery Unit, Ward, Day Theatres & Recovery.
• Act as a role model to promote excellence in theatres and day ward practice.
• Deliver skilled care and lead planning and delivery of individualised patient care.
• Be prepared to extend knowledge by rotating to other specialties.
• Maintain competency in current emergency resuscitation techniques.
