The ideal candidate will have valid UK HCPC registration, theatre, and anaesthetic experience. Welsh language skills are desirable. To provide Anaesthesia care/assistance and develop skills through rotation through Anaesthetic areas.
Work towards the highest standards of patient care in Anaesthesia to reflect the standards and values of the University Health Board.
Support the Deputy Clinical Lead/ Clinical Lead to develop and implement policies and procedures.
Support the Deputy Clinical Lead/ Clinical Lead on duty in providing a safe, effective and efficient delivery of the service.
Support the development of students within the area.
Occasionally required to ensure an effective service in the absence of a Deputy Clinical Lead/ Clinical Lead.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a band 5 Anaesthetic Practitioner at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital theatre department.
We seek enthusiastic individuals to work in Main Theatres covering a variety of specialities. The role encompasses all shift types to meet departmental needs, requires individuals who are hard working, motivated and keen to further their development within a supportive culture.
You will be expected to use clinical and evidence based knowledge and skills to actively contribute to service development across the perioperative pathway, identifying opportunities and supporting individuals in the delivery of high quality patient care.

Emergency cover is 24/7 365 days a year with on-call provision.
This is a big opportunity in a vibrant Health Board, who is committed to staff education and development with a Perioperative Educator available to teach on site and support is provided through mentors and a highly experienced team.
