Job summary

University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust seeks a Perinatal Quality Assurance Lead to establish and lead a dedicated perinatal assurance function across UHL. This role will deliver a systematic, intelligence-led approach to assurance spanning frontline care to Board oversight, ensuring reporting is robust and transparent.

Qualifications

• Degree-level qualification in a large, complex healthcare organisation.
• Evidence of continuing professional development relevant to governance, assurance, quality improvement, service improvement or programme delivery.
• Postgraduate qualification or equivalent in quality improvement, with training in project or programme management, governance, audit or risk management.

Responsibilities

• Lead perinatal assurance reporting with a systematic, intelligence-led approach.
• Triangulate data from incidents, complaints, workforce, performance and audit.
• Support Board and committee reporting with clear, accurate, actionable information.
• Enable early identification, escalation and management of risk.
• Strengthen regulatory readiness including CQC, NHS Resolution MIS Year 8, and national reviews.
