Job summary

Powys Teaching Health Board is recruiting a Perinatal Mental Health (PNMH) Practitioner on a fixed term 12-month contract to cover maternity leave. You will work within a passionate pan-Powys service supporting women with moderate to severe mental health illness during the perinatal period, delivering specialist assessment, care and intervention in the community.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with women with perinatal mental health needs within community or hospital settings.
• Knowledge of GAD-7, PHQ-9 and other mental health assessment tools.
• Current UK professional registration and relevant nursing/social work/occupational therapy qualification.

Responsibilities

• Develop and provide specialist clinical Perinatal pathways in secondary care mental health.
• Oversee current pathways across Local Primary Mental Health Support Services and partner agencies.
• Lead in collaboration with PNMH Team Lead, the Consultant Psychiatrists, Psychological Therapies and Midwifery to manage complex cases.
