Job summary

Powys Teaching Health Board is seeking a registered nurse to join our team in Machynlleth on a fixed-term basis for 12 months to cover maternity leave. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate evidence-based nursing care, working closely with patients and their families.

The post requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team and autonomous practice with support from the ward manager and therapies staff. Welsh language skills are welcomed, with training provided if needed.

Qualifications

• NMC registered nurse required.
• Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate evidenced-based nursing care.
• Work autonomously with support from ward manager and therapies staff.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team and contribute to clinical leadership development.
• Welcomes Welsh speakers and supports language development if needed.
