Job summary

Fortice in London is seeking a permanent Performance Tester to design and run performance tests across client environments. You will develop workload and test approaches, script tests, and analyze results to predict production behavior.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Produce Workload Analysis Documents and Performance Test Approach documents from project non-functional specifications
• Produce performance test scripts, test data, and scenarios in line with the documented approach
• Execute performance tests defined in the Workload Analysis Document and Performance Test Design
• Document any deviation from the originally defined test scenarios
• Log test results and present any extrapolation needed to indicate how the application may perform in a production environment
• Work with the Technical Lead and other resources across development and environments teams to rectify and retest issues encountered during testing
• Tune application performance
• Summarise performance testing in the Performance Test Evaluation report

Requirements

• Strong capability in at least two performance test tools, such as LoadRunner and JMeter
• Strong technical background and capability, including good knowledge of at least one software language
• Fundamental understanding of common application technologies, such as web servers and databases
• Understanding of performance monitoring across different servers, protocols, infrastructure, counter types, and application layers
• Technologies needed: C#, .NET, TCP/IP, IIS, SQL Server, and network and server topology across web, app, and database servers
• Knowledge of service layers, RESTful services, WSDL services, and FTS
