Job summary

West Midlands Police is looking for a motivated individual to join the Performance Team, supporting the capture, analysis and presentation of performance information across the Force.

You’ll work with colleagues across the Force to maintain accurate performance data, dashboards and reporting systems, helping to turn information into meaningful insight. Working under the guidance of a Performance Analyst or Performance Manager, you’ll develop your analytical skills in a policing environment.

• Capture, maintain and analyse performance data, ensuring information is accurate, timely and reliable.
• Monitor data, trends and anomalies, identifying and appropriately reporting issues or areas requiring further investigation.
• Maintain performance dashboards, spreadsheets and reporting systems, ensuring colleagues have access to current and accurate information.
• Respond to performance data requests and queries, working with colleagues across the Force to understand requirements and provide appropriate information.
• Support the production and presentation of performance information, including reports, management information and presentations for key meetings and stakeholders.

Introduction to the Department

The Performance Team, within Corporate Development, provides insight into the Force's performance to support effective decision-making, governance and assurance. The team works with data from across West Midlands Police to identify trends, understand performance and provide accurate information that helps the organisation understand and improve its service delivery.

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated individual to join the Performance Team, supporting the capture, analysis and presentation of performance information across West Midlands Police.

You’ll work with colleagues across the Force to maintain accurate performance data, dashboards and reporting systems, helping to turn information into meaningful insight. Working under the guidance of a Performance Analyst or Performance Manager, you’ll have the opportunity to develop your analytical skills and build your experience of how data is used to inform organisational performance, governance and improvement.

Salary and Shifts

Salary: £32,613.00 - £37,020.00

Shifts: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 16:00, Hybrid.
