Our client is a leading UK technology business operating at significant scale, with millions of customers and an established digital proposition.
The business is going through an exciting period of transformation, investing in technology, customer experience and the next generation of its acquisition strategy. As part of this evolution, they are making multiple senior hires into their Performance Marketing team.
They are looking for experienced Performance marketers who combine deep hands-on channel expertise with strong commercial thinking – people who can manage sophisticated acquisition programmes today while helping shape what they should look like tomorrow.
With multiple opportunities available, we're interested in speaking with candidates from either high-volume B2C environments or commercially focused B2B/SME acquisition backgrounds. You don't need experience across both.
The Opportunity
- Take significant ownership of Performance Marketing within a large-scale UK technology business
- Own and optimise significant acquisition investment across Paid Search, Paid Social and wider biddable channels
- Remain genuinely hands‑on across campaign strategy, execution, optimisation and experimentation
- Balance ownership of BAU performance with identifying bigger opportunities to evolve the acquisition model
- Use customer and commercial data to determine where the next pound of marketing investment should go
- Help diversify the acquisition mix and reduce reliance on established channels
- Explore emerging opportunities across AI, automation, new advertising formats, partnerships and acquisition channels
- Develop structured test‑and‑learn roadmaps across channels, audiences, bidding and customer journeys
- Work closely with Product, Data, CRM, Sales, Finance and wider Growth teams
- Operate as a senior individual contributor with significant influence over strategy while remaining close to execution
Responsibilities
- Own and optimise high-volume customer acquisition across Paid Search, Paid Social and wider Performance channels
- Manage significant media investment, balancing acquisition volume with efficiency, quality and commercial return
- Develop channel strategies, investment plans and experimentation roadmaps
- Take a hands‑on role across campaign builds, optimisation, bidding, targeting, testing and performance analysis
- Use data to identify performance challenges and translate insight into clear commercial decisions
- Develop sophisticated approaches to automation, bidding, audience strategy and campaign structure
- Identify opportunities to diversify acquisition through new channels, partnerships, formats and emerging platforms
- Explore how AI and changing search behaviour can improve existing activity and unlock new growth opportunities
- Partner with Product, Data, CRM, Finance, Sales and wider teams to improve the end‑to‑end acquisition journey
- Optimise towards meaningful commercial outcomes including CAC, conversion, revenue, LTV, profitability and customer quality
- Build clear commercial cases for where investment should be increased, reduced or redirected
- Continually challenge existing ways of working and identify opportunities for meaningful growth
Your Profile
- Strong experience within Performance Marketing, Paid Acquisition or Growth Marketing
- Deep hands‑on expertise across Paid Search, with broader experience across Paid Social and/or wider biddable channels
- Experience managing significant budgets or sophisticated, high-volume acquisition programmes
- Strong analytical capability with the ability to interrogate data and turn insight into action
- Commercially minded and comfortable looking beyond platform metrics to understand the genuine business impact of acquisition
- Experience developing and executing structured test‑and‑learn programmes
- Comfortable balancing hands‑on execution with contributing to wider Performance and Growth strategy
- Curious about AI, automation, emerging channels and how the acquisition landscape is evolving
- Experience within high-volume digital businesses such as ecommerce, marketplaces, comparison platforms, apps, fintech, subscription or technology would be highly relevant
- Alternatively, experience acquiring high volumes of SME/business customers with accountability beyond lead generation into conversion, CAC, LTV or revenue would be equally relevant
- Comfortable operating within a lean, fast-moving environment where there is significant change and ambiguity
- You do not need experience across both B2C and B2B acquisition – there are multiple opportunities and different areas of specialism are relevant
- Most importantly, you'll still enjoy being close to the platforms, data and execution rather than looking to move into a purely people‑management role
