Job summary

Equans is seeking a Performance Manager to join the Bellshill office (ML4 3NJ) on a permanent, full-time basis. You will ensure services meet contractual obligations and healthcare standards while embedding a culture of compliance and risk awareness across teams.

Responsibilities include leading audits, managing non-conformances, maintaining KPI dashboards, and coordinating with client representatives and governance functions. A competitive salary plus a comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in quality, compliance, audit, assurance or governance within facilities management or another regulated service environment.
• Understanding of complex contractual environments, preferably PFI healthcare, NHS estates or critical infrastructure service delivery.
• Strong working knowledge of quality management systems, audit processes, document control, corrective actions and continuous improvement.
• Awareness of statutory compliance requirements relevant to facilities management, including health and safety, environmental management, fire safety, water hygiene, electrical safety.

• Lead and coordinate risk-based internal and external audits, compliance inspections, assurance reviews, statutory inspections and certification assessments.
• Ensure operational teams are prepared for audits and inspections with accurate evidence maintained and findings closed out.
• Manage non-conformance, corrective action, preventive action and lessons-learned processes.
• Maintain compliance registers, audit schedules, risk logs, action trackers and document control systems.
• Monitor performance against quality, compliance, health and safety, environmental and sustainability KPIs.
• Lead the preparation, validation and submission of monthly performance reports to Client, Project Company and leadership teams.

Job description

Equans is looking for a Performance Manager to join our team working from the Bellshill Office, ML4 3NJ. This is a permanent, full-time role working on average 40 hours per week. As Performance Manager, you will ensure that services are delivered in line with contractual obligations, healthcare standards, statutory requirements, Equans policies and relevant ISO management systems.

Working closely with operational teams, client representatives, NHS Board representatives, healthcare stakeholders, subcontractors and internal governance functions, you will help embed a culture of compliance, accountability, risk awareness, sustainability and service excellence.

Your work will directly support the safe, compliant and effective operation of healthcare facilities, while helping to protect clinical activity and minimise disruption and service performance deductions.

What will you deliver?

• Ensure reports accurately reflect KPI data, statutory compliance, service performance, audit outcomes, improvement actions and contractual requirements.
• Manage and administer contractual Payment Mechanism processes, including: Performance monitoring,Service failure validation,Deduction management,Rectification verification,Performance trend analysis,Supporting evidence requirements
• Work with operational and commercial teams to review Payment Mechanism performance, challenge deductions where appropriate and identify opportunities to improve service delivery.
• Promote compliance awareness through coaching, briefings, training, toolbox talks and best-practice sharing.
• Support compliance with healthcare premises guidance, technical standards, local procedures and client-specific requirements.
• Monitor evidence relating to health and safety, fire safety, water hygiene, electrical safety, lifting equipment and environmental controls.
• Support compliance with Equans health, safety, environmental, quality and sustainability policies.
• Support and maintain compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and other applicable management system standards.
• Attend and contribute to contractual, governance and performance meetings.
• Participate in the contract management on-call rota.
• Undertake designated technical compliance responsibilities, including Responsible Person or Appointed Person duties, where appropriately trained and authorised.

Who are we looking for?

• Strong planning and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple audits, actions, deadlines and stakeholder requirements.
• Due to nature of the role the successful candidate will be required to obtain Disclosure Scotland to PVG Level.
