As Performance Creative Producer, you build our paid social creative from the ground up.
You’ll sit within the Customer Acquisition team in Commercial, which drives new customer growth for Riverford, reporting to the Performance Marketing Manager. You’ll take a brief and make it yours, from concept and script to shoot and final edit, creating ads that stop the scroll and get people to act.
You’ll have real freedom to experiment within clear brand guardrails: we want your ideas, your instincts and your experience of what works. You’ll experiment with hooks, angles and formats, see exactly how each ad performs, and use those results to make the next one evenbetter. Because we’re broadening our channel mix, you’ll get to make creative built for each platform (such as TikTok, Meta & Demand Gen channels like YouTube) rather than one ad stretched across all of them.
You’ll move fast when opportunities come up, work closely with our Social Media Manager and Brand team, who know our voice inside out, and see your work go live and make a measurable difference.
This is a 12-month fixed-term position. The role is 40 hours per week. Hybrid role, based on Wash Farm in Devon.
Salary: circa£35,000 per annum
Location:Wash Farm, Buckfastleigh, Devon, TQ11 0JU.
What you’ll be doing…
- Creative output: Deliver a monthly pipeline of paid social assets, including around 4-5 videos, each versioned into 3 formats.
- Briefs and turnaround: Turn briefs from the Performance Marketing Manager into first cuts within ~4 working days.
- Platform-native creative:Make ads built for each channel from the start, suited to how people use Meta, TikTok and YouTube (as well as new channels as our mix expands), and versioned for each platform’s placements.
- Creative testing: Contribute to a monthly testing plan, producing hook, format and message variants to test against our current best-performing ads.
- Performance reviews: Track how your creative performs against outlined KPIs with the Performance Marketing Manager, and share learnings and recommendations at monthly performance reviews as well as Thirdly sessions with the wider team.
- Creative library: Keep an organised library of assets, raw footage, test results and winning formats so learnings are easy to find and reuse.
- Brand and compliance: Work closely with the Social Media Manager and Brand team, producing content within agreed Riverford brand and social guardrails on tone, imagery and sensitive topics. Make sure every ad meets platform ad policies and UK advertising standards (ASA/CAP code).
This role focuses on fast-turnaround acquisition content, such as UGC-style videos, food and product demos, recipes, testimonials, hooks and creative variants, rather than brand or organic campaigns. It doesn’t cover search or PPC copy, professional product photography or HTML5 display creative.
What we are looking for...
- Direct-response instinct: You know what makes an ad stop the scroll and get the click, from the opening seconds to the CTA.
- Shooting and editing: Strong filming and editing skills using Premiere Pro, CapCut or similar, with a good feel for pacing and structure.
- Platform fluency: You know Meta and TikTok inside out and understand what makes content feel native to each one. Experience with other platforms is a plus.
- Data-curious: You want to know how your ads performed, and you use what you learn to make the next one better.
- Self-starter: You can take a brief and run with it, working at pace without needing detailed direction.
- Brand-minded: You can work within a brand’s tone of voice and guidelines while still making ads that perform.
- Organised: You can juggle several briefs, shoots and deadlines at once.
- Bonus: Experience creating food or lifestyle content
- Desirable: Experience making paid social, performance or direct-response creative.
