Job summary

Luton Council is seeking a proactive People Strategy & OD Officer to drive organisational development initiatives across the council. You will lead leadership development programmes, deliver engaging presentations to senior leaders, and support workforce improvements.

You’ll apply strong analytical and project management skills to develop practical solutions, evaluate impact and enable positive change. A qualification in Organisational Development or Project Management (Level 4 or equivalent)

Qualifications

• Significant experience in organisational development within a large, complex organisation.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills with a passion for developing leaders and creating inclusive, high-performing workplaces.
• Qualification in Organisational Development or Project Management (Level 4 or equivalent) and knowledge of PRINCE2 or Agile are highly desirable.

Salary: £40,444 - £43,149 a year pro rata
Hours: 37 hours a week
Contract type: Secondment until 31st March 2029

This role is available until 31st March 2029. Internal candidates who are permanent employees of Luton Council will be appointed on a secondment basis, while external candidates and other eligible applicants will be appointed on a fixed-term contract until 31st March 2029.
