Job summary

Coastland College is seeking an exceptional People Services Team Lead to drive the operational delivery of People Services, governance and compliance, and to enhance the employee experience across the College.

You will lead the People Services Team, overseeing employee lifecycle administration, safeguarding compliance, workforce administration, policy implementation and payroll-related processes, ensuring accurate, timely and professional service for managers and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Experience leading, supervising or coordinating a People, HR, customer service or operational administration team.
• Strong understanding of employee lifecycle processes and workforce administration.
• Experience in regulated environments with compliance, safeguarding and safer recruitment requirements.
• Highly organised with ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high‑quality outcomes.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop the People Services Team to high performance and customer service standards.
• Oversee employee lifecycle processes: changes, onboarding, contracts and leavers.
• Ensure payroll changes are accurate, authorised and timely.
