Job summary

Coastland College is seeking an exceptional People Services Team Lead to deliver a modern, customer-focused People Service across the College. You will lead the People Services Team, overseeing lifecycle administration, safeguarding compliance, payroll-related changes and policy implementation to ensure accurate, timely service for managers and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Experience leading, supervising or coordinating a People, HR, customer service or operational administration team.
• Strong understanding of employee lifecycle processes, workforce administration and People Services operations.
• Experience in a regulated environment with safeguarding and safer recruitment requirements.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop the People Services Team to deliver high performance and excellent service.
• Oversee employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, changes, probation reviews and leavers.
• Ensure payroll-related changes are processed accurately and within deadlines.
• Own safeguarding compliance and manage the Single Central Record (SCR).
• Lead safer recruitment processes in line with statutory requirements and policies.
• Implement, communicate and review People policies and guidance.
• Drive service excellence, monitor performance and the employee experience.
• Maintain audit-ready records and monitor compliance and workforce administration.
• Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes and ways of working.
• Produce workforce metrics and management information to support decisions.
• Collaborate with People Partners, Finance and managers to deliver joined-up people management.
• Support a positive, inclusive culture aligned with College values.
