Job description

Are you passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and making a difference in people's lives?

At AXA we’re seeking a dedicated individual to join our People Services team in Bolton on a full time 12-month fixed-term contract.

As a People Services Advisor, you’ll play a crucial part in helping our customers find the right solutions, whether it’s providing expert advice over the phone, handling tasks through our case management system, Help, or efficiently dealing with email inquiries. You’ll also be responsible for monitoring and quality-checking tasks that support our business processes, as well as assisting in the administration of vital business projects in our HR system, MyWorkday.

If you thrive in a collaborative environment and are committed to excellence, we want to hear from you!

At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home, moving to the majority of your working week from September 2025. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events.

We’re also happy to consider flexible working arrangements, which you can discuss with Talent Acquisition.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Answering incoming calls to the People Services team, providing advice and assistance.
  • Managing a portfolio of cases in the Help system.
  • Administering People Services tasks and processing efficiently, covering the whole employee lifecycle from onboarding and screening through to leavers.
  • Escalating issues to leaders, People Services, and the business as necessary.
  • Delivering quality customer service while collaborating with other teams, such as payroll.
  • Prioritising and managing tasks in the inbox.
  • Maintaining accurate data in MyWorkday and the Help system.
  • Providing HR support and advice to employees, managers, and candidates.

What you’ll bring:

  • Experience in a customer service telephone-based role and proven administration skills.
  • Customer focused with the ability to connect with a variety of people over the phone and in writing whilst conducting yourself in a professional manner.
  • Experience using Case Management Systems.
  • Analytical, highly organised with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Understands and demonstrates the importance of Data Protection and its associated risks.
  • Computer literate with experience of MS Office and IT tools, demonstrating accuracy and speed when updating relevant HR systems.
  • Experience of working in an HR Shared Services team and working knowledge of employment law would be advantageous.
