Seeking a Social Media Assistant (Intern) for Film Production Company - London, UK

Duration: 8 weeks (June-July 2025)

Hours: Flexible - 1 call per week (up to an hour), plus tasks to complete in your own time, working to your availability.

About the project:

Breaking Jar is an independent film production company, helping people achieve real-life change through fictional stories. We produce original films and media, as well as providing training and resources for aspiring filmmakers, fostering a global community through the power of meaningful stories changing lives. Since 2020, we have been building our network in the UK, and we now have a growing following on social media.

You will be working directly with the founder, Hunter Boydell, on a range of social media content designed to engage this community more fully, connect with a wider audience, and help us provide more guidance and opportunities for filmmakers at entry level.

What you’ll be doing:

• Analysis of our established social media channels and recent posts, recording trends and data
• Helping to develop a strategy for content that will best serve our audience
• Editing content (photos, graphics, basic video, basic audio) for social media
• Copywriting (e.g. captions, short articles) for social media

You will need to have your own computer, smartphone, and internet access. Remote role, but we are looking for someone based in London, with the potential for in-person participation at some point (not essential).

This is an unpaid internship, akin to a volunteer role or work experience placement.
