Talent Acquisition at Nichols – Home of Vimto 💜

People Projects and Development Advisor

About Nichols

We’re Nichols – the home of Vimto, and there is no other business quite like ours. Since 1908 we have been making life taste better with a portfolio spanning still, carbonated, post‑mix and frozen drinks, available in supermarkets, pubs, leisure outlets and in partnership with UK leading food manufacturers.

Our rich heritage, ambition to keep innovating, and pride in who we are creates a place where you can be yourself, speak up, and get stuck in. We celebrate wins, cheer each other, and keep things fizzing with positivity.

About the Opportunity

We’re well known for our famous purple drink, but the real secret ingredient is our team of talented people. That’s why we’ve created a brand‑new opportunity for a People Projects and Development Advisor to help us bring our people plans to life and keep our culture bubbling. We are an agile business and will consider full‑time or part‑time working hours for this role.

The role is split into two main areas of focus – designing, delivering and evaluating learning solutions (both face‑to‑face and digitally) and supporting the delivery and administration of key people projects and tasks related to the people strategy.

You will be expected to work independently, taking full ownership of your projects, while also collaborating with key stakeholders and external partners where appropriate. This is your chance to make a real impact – turning ideas into action and helping to shape a workplace that truly tastes better.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with the wider people team to plan, manage, and deliver cross‑functional people projects (e.g., Values and behaviours rollout, reward refresh, engagement surveys, DEI initiatives).
  • Deliver and evaluate people initiatives/projects to ensure they are delivered on time, within scope, and with measurable impact.
  • Write, deliver, and facilitate internal learning materials using appropriate approaches, including e‑learning, video, mentoring, and coaching.
  • Maintain open communication with key stakeholders to reach agreements and achieve project objectives.
  • Analyse situations logically, evaluate options, and think creatively to find innovative solutions.
  • Make confident, informed, and timely decisions, often under pressure, to guide the project’s direction.
  • Take ownership of initiatives from inception to delivery, ensuring measurable impact and contributing to a culture of self‑directed learning.
  • Provide data insights and reports to monitor delivery of programmes, evaluate learning quality, and assess impact on productivity and future skill requirements.
  • Identify future capability and skills needs using market insights and industry trends.
  • Champion a culture of continuous, self‑directed learning across the organisation, embedding learning into everyday workflows.
About You
  • Experience working within an HR function with knowledge of HR policies, practices, systems and employee life cycle, and experience delivering HR projects from inception to rollout.
  • Proactive and curious mindset, identifying continuous improvement opportunities and bringing fresh thinking and an external lens to policies, processes, and ways of working.
  • Strategic approach with the ability to anticipate and shape future people needs.
  • Passion to help people learn, develop and grow as professionals.
  • Strong and effective facilitation skills, able to deliver from entry level to senior leadership.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in learning technologies and approaches, together with excellent facilitation, and a collaborative, adaptable approach to building engaging learning experiences.
  • Experience conducting skills gap analyses to identify learning needs, and using data to measure programme effectiveness.
  • Demonstrable success in designing and delivering learning programmes with measurable ROI.
Benefits
  • 25 days holiday (with an option to purchase additional days each year)
  • A generous annual bonus scheme
  • Save as you earn share scheme
  • Option to join our private medical scheme
  • Holiday off work, one day per year off work to volunteer in the community (choose where and when)
  • Access to company drinks and slush drinks at our sites
  • Staff shop with discounts on our products
