Job summary

Your Coop is seeking a People Partner for a maternity cover role to support trading operations with the people strategy. You will act as a trusted advisor to operational leadership, coaching managers, driving ER capability, and using people data to inform decisions.

The role involves a mix of remote work and site visits to nurseries, with opportunities for development and a strong focus on improving colleague experience.

Qualifications

• To be successful in the role, you will have generalist people experience and CIPD qualifications at Level 5 or above.
• You should have up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation and experience managing change projects.
• Demonstrates a continuous improvement mindset with a strong focus on colleague experience.
• Able to challenge others to identify root causes of people and business issues.
• Capable of coaching stakeholders to improve business efficiency and culture.

Responsibilities

• Support the Senior People Partner with change programmes, business cases, timelines and colleague communication plans.
• Educate Managers and Operational Leaders on ER skills and employment legislation, including tribunal case references.
• Collaborate with the People Development Team to identify learning solutions and engage colleagues in development initiatives.
• Coach individuals and teams to deliver WGLL and provide constructive feedback.
• Analyse data to track people trends and advise on impact on business performance.
• Support Diversity & Inclusion activities within trading groups.
• Provide insight on resource planning in partnership with the central resourcing team.

About the role:

Are you passionate about driving positive change and enhancing colleague experience within a dynamic trading environment?

We are excited to announce this maternity cover vacancy for a dedicated People Partner. Reporting to the Senior People Partner, you will support our trading areas at an operational level in delivering our people strategy. As a trusted advisor and coach to operational leadership, you will focus on developing great leaders, executing the central people team strategy, and utilising people MI to make data-driven recommendations and solutions.

As part of this role, you will be responsible for:

• Supporting the Senior People Partner with change programmes, developing business cases, project timelines and colleague consultation and communication plans
• Educating Managers and Operational Leaders for ER skills and employment legislation, including internal case reviews, attending managers clubs as SME's and example relevant tribunal cases to support learning
• Working in partnership with the People Development Team to identify appropriate learning solutions, provide business unit insight during the scoping of development initiatives and provide guidance and support on the best way to engage colleagues in development
• Coaching individuals and teams to deliver WGLL, constructively challenging by holding the mirror up, role modelling great feedback and adapting style to meet the needs of learners
• Reviewing and analysing data to track people trends, assessing the impacts of these trends on overall business performance, identifying root causes and recommending solutions
• Supporting trading group specific Diversity & Inclusion activities and the delivery of its key aims and objectives
• Working closely with the central resourcing team, providing insight on resource planning

This role involves a mix of working from home and visiting our nurseries.

Who are we looking for?

To be successful in the role, you will need:

• Generalist people experience, CIPD qualified to Level 5 and above or equivalent experience
• Sound and up to date knowledge of employment legislation with experience of managing people change projects
• Continuous improvement mindset - strong customer focus and commitment to making a positive impact on colleague experience
• Ability to question and challenge others to get to the root of people and business issues
• Ability to coach and provide feedback to key stakeholders to help improve business efficiency
• Ability to build effective working relationships at all levels
• A strong communicator, both in writing and spoken communication at all levels
• Demonstrable high level IT levels
