Job summary

Amey is recruiting a People Operations Manager to join the Transport Infrastructure People Team on a Fixed Term Contract (~6 months). Based in Liverpool with travel across England, the role reports to the People Partner for the Strategic Highways portfolio.

You will provide high‑quality generalist HR advice, support workforce planning, and collaborate with HR Shared Services, Recruitment, L&D and Reward to deliver initiatives that improve performance and employee experience.

Qualifications

• CIPD Level 5 qualification or working towards it.
• Experience with HR service delivery and operating models.
• Ability to apply legal knowledge to real-world situations.
• Commercial awareness and sector understanding.
• Positive, flexible team player with collaborative approach.

Responsibilities

• Support the People Partner in developing and delivering effective people plans.
• Produce key performance metrics and insights from data to drive action.
• Support workforce planning, talent attraction and pipeline strategy.
• Collaborate with HR Shared Services, Recruitment, L&D and Reward to embed initiatives.
• Oversee policy application and drive consistency for line managers.
• Support TUPE activity including due diligence and consultation.
• Project-manage restructures with employee communications and cost management.
• Deliver people management training and facilitate focus groups.
• Support mobilisations, demobilisations and restructures alongside HR Managers.
