Job summary

Global Accounting Network Limited is seeking an experienced HR/People Manager to blend hands-on HR delivery with strategic partnership across our multi-site operations in the UK care and housing sectors. This role focuses on safeguarding, regulatory compliance and building a positive workplace culture.

You will support site managers with performance, policy adherence, and safer recruitment while maintaining robust employee records and contributing to training initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Proven generalist HR experience in multi-site, regulated settings.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law.
  • Experience with recruitment, onboarding and safer recruitment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • High emotional intelligence and resilience.
  • Confident written and verbal communicator.
  • Experience with HR systems, data and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Support site management in applying HR policies aligned with safeguarding and Ofsted standards.
  • Assist managers with performance reviews and provide guidance.
  • Maintain accurate employee documentation, contracts and job descriptions to ensure compliance.
  • Coordinate appraisals, track holidays and sickness, and support training initiatives.
  • Manage HR administration including employment law updates, grievances, disciplinary actions, and investigations.
  • Lead recruitment from advertising to onboarding with safer recruitment practices.
  • Prepare induction materials and facilitate onboarding of new starters.
  • Partner with leadership to deliver training aligned with regulatory standards.
  • Stay updated on legislative changes and adapt policies accordingly.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • HR qualification or equivalent experience
  • Significant experience in multi-site, operational HR roles within regulated sectors
  • Prior success managing complex ER cases and supporting organizational compliance
