Job summary

Confidential is seeking a proactive People Lead on a maternity cover contract to provide HR support across two educational settings in North Devon. This dual-site role focuses on recruitment, onboarding, HR administration, and employee relations while upholding safeguarding standards.

You will partner with managers to deliver an outstanding employee experience, manage SCR and payroll support, and contribute to professional development within a collaborative, values-driven educational environment.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English at grade C/4 or equivalent.
• CIPD Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience.
• Experience in HR administration and record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate interviews, recruitment campaigns, inductions and pre-employment checks.
• Maintain employee records and SCR, assist payroll and HR reporting.
• Provide first-line HR guidance and support managers and staff.
• Build positive relationships and promote inclusive culture.
