Job summary

Castle View Personnel Ltd is seeking an HR Manager in the Inverness area to lead the people function, develop workforce strategies and ensure policies, procedures and practices are legally compliant and aligned with organisational objectives.

The postholder will partner with the Head of Quality, Learning and Workforce Development to build a skilled, sustainable workforce and foster an inclusive culture where staff thrive.

Qualifications

• CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent experience.
• Experience managing employee relations matters, including grievances and disciplinary processes.
• Experience advising senior leaders and managers.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
• Experience of supporting geographically dispersed teams.
• Experience of workforce planning within a multi-service organisation.

Responsibilities

• Act as principal adviser on workforce and employment matters to the Chief Executive and SMT.
• Lead development and review of HR policies, procedures and practices.
• Ensure compliance with employment legislation and Fair Work principles.
• Manage relationships with external HR advisers and legal advisers.
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding and retention activities.
• Develop performance management, attendance management and employee wellbeing approaches.
• Lead employee relations casework including disciplinary, grievance, dignity at work, capability and whistleblowing matters.
• Support managers to build capability in people management.
