Our Opportunity

Would you like to be part of a team that is driving dynamic and exciting changes to their people practices? Our forward-looking People and Culture team has an opportunity for a People & Culture Business Partner to join them.

As a People & Culture Business Partner, you will support the business in delivering their people strategy. You will work in partnership with management and leadership teams, providing high-quality HR and employee relations advice nationally, and supporting strategic change projects. You will lead local improvements to employee experience, talent management, and capability, as well as support the Group People & Culture Director on national projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work as part of a team aiming to be a Top 100 employer and an Investors in People Gold to Platinum accredited business.
  • Coach and advise leaders on policies and employment law, enhancing management capability. Attend management meetings as needed.
  • Develop strong collaborative relationships with the Senior Employee Relations Advisor to align strategies.
  • Act as a conduit between your business unit and the wider People & Culture Team, ensuring effective communication and feedback.
  • Lead initiatives to improve employee experience and talent retention.
  • Support staff wellbeing through proactive wellbeing action plans to foster resilience.
  • Assist in identifying talent development and training needs, supporting career development and succession planning.
  • Promote and develop the culture of Pick Everard, embodying company values and continuously improving policies and practices.

We operate a hybrid work model, offering flexibility between home and office. Our team collaborates closely with HR functions including Recruitment, Operations, Learning and Development, and other Business Partners to deliver comprehensive HR support.

About You

If you have experience working in HR teams, especially in collaboration with Recruitment and Learning & Development, this role offers an excellent opportunity to foster a collaborative culture. You should have experience in identifying issues, designing solutions, and leading HR improvement projects. The role suits proactive individuals who approach tasks positively and communicate effectively.

Technical Competency Requirements
  • CIPD qualification (or working towards) or equivalent experience.
  • Experience as an HR Business Partner.
  • Good knowledge of employment law.
  • Experience supporting a diverse workforce.
  • Proven ability to deliver projects independently or in teams.
  • Experience in change management and HR improvement projects (desirable).
Behavioral Competency Requirements
  • Resilience and composure under pressure.
  • Confidence to challenge positively.
  • Ability to manage emotions and maintain effectiveness under pressure.
  • Credibility, persuasiveness, and relationship-building skills.
