Job summary

VanRath is seeking a People & Culture Advisor on a part-time basis to support a busy HR team in Belfast. You will advise managers, help with recruitment, onboarding, and data management to deliver a compliant and engaging employee experience.

This role focuses on UK/NI employment practices, PeopleHR data, and developing HR policies across NI, GB, and ROI. You will contribute to learning initiatives and payroll alignment, with pro-rata salary reflecting part-time hours.

Qualifications

• CIPD Level 3 or higher qualification.
• Minimum 3 years HR experience in a fast-paced private sector environment.
• Strong knowledge of UK/NI employment law and HR best practices.
• Proven experience managing employee relations cases (disciplinary, grievance, performance issues).
• Proficient in HR systems, particularly PeopleHR and data analytics.

Responsibilities

• Proactively support managers with HR issues, providing pragmatic, credible advice to foster a positive employee experience.
• Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, including onboarding, ensuring a seamless experience for new hires.
• Maintain accurate employee data in PeopleHR; produce HR documentation such as contracts and reports.
• Support payroll integration by ensuring HR processes align with payroll systems.
• Develop, implement, and communicate HR policies in compliance with legislation in NI, GB, and ROI.
• Drive and coordinate learning and development initiatives, including the rollout of a new LMS platform.
• Produce HR reports and metrics to support data driven decision making and continuous improvement.
• Stay informed of legislative changes impacting employment practices and advise accordingly.
• Lead engagement activities and support organisational culture initiatives.
