Job summary

Abbey Multi Academy Trust is seeking an experienced People Advisor to provide maternity cover within the central People team. The role supports leaders and colleagues across eight academies with timely, accurate people advice and practical guidance on policies and procedures.

You will handle employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, payroll/pension administration, and use of our HR systems. CIPD Level 3 is required, Level 5 desirable, with hybrid working options.

Qualifications

• Experienced people or HR adviser with generalist knowledge across the employee life cycle.
• Clear and confident communicator who can build relationships at all levels.
• Organised, accurate and able to manage competing priorities while maintaining confidentiality.
• Practical, approachable with sound judgement.

Responsibilities

• Act as first point of contact for people-related queries and give clear advice on policies, procedures and terms and conditions.
• Support employee relations casework including absence management, investigations, hearings and occupational health referrals.
• Support recruitment, safer recruitment checks, onboarding and induction.
• Complete accurate people, payroll and pension administration and use of people systems effectively.
