Role Introduction
The People Advisor role reports to a People Business Partner and supports a specific business function. The role involves managing end-to-end People processes and collaborating closely with our L&D, TA, and Reward/Ops teams.
This position offers a hybrid working pattern based at our Birmingham, Mailbox office.
What You Will Do
- Support the People Business Partners in developing and executing the People Strategy for designated functional areas.
- Partner with managers and senior leadership to understand business priorities and implement appropriate People Relations interventions, ensuring a productive work environment.
- Collaborate with Talent, L&D, and People Ops within established squad models to support and drive the People Strategy.
- Coach managers on People Relations best practices and assist with complex ER cases such as tribunals, appeals, and grievances.
- Maintain awareness of the People Strategy and ER within the function, analyzing data trends and reporting insights to PBPs and the wider business.
- Assist in fostering a high-performance culture through the Performance Management Framework, Performance & Talent initiatives.
- Support HR exercises including development plans, talent mapping, and succession planning.
- Stay informed on external HR trends, policy, and regulation changes to educate the team.
- Lead or support People projects related to processes like M&A, redundancy, etc.
- Perform other responsibilities aligned with the People Advisor role.
