Job summary

Venn Group is seeking an experienced Pensions Process Improvement Lead on an initial six-month contract, offering £500 per day umbrella inside IR35. The role is based in the Midlands with flexible hybrid working.

You will drive a programme of service improvements across the pensions function, leveraging deep LGPS and TPS knowledge to redesign processes and strengthen controls. You will lead end-to-end reviews, design robust ways of working, engage stakeholders, and manage risk while embedding

Pensions Process Improvement Lead

Duration: Initial 6-Month Contract

Rate: £500 per day (Umbrella) Inside IR35

Venn Group is working with a public sector organisation seeking an experienced Pensions Process Improvement Lead to drive a programme of service improvement across its pensions function.

This is an excellent opportunity for a pensions professional with strong LGPS and TPS expertise and a proven track record of reviewing, redesigning and enhancing pensions processes. You will play a key role in identifying efficiencies, strengthening controls, reducing operational risk and embedding sustainable improvements that enhance service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end reviews of pensions processes, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, compliance and performance
• Design and implement streamlined, robust and sustainable ways of working
• Work closely with pensions colleagues and key stakeholders to successfully embed process improvements
• Identify operational risks and introduce measures to improve quality, consistency and control
• Provide subject matter expertise on Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) and Teachers' Pension Scheme (TPS) matters
• Support the service through a period of transformation and continuous improvement

Experience Required

• Extensive knowledge of LGPS and TPS administration and legislation
• Proven experience delivering process improvement, service redesign or transformation within a pensions environment
• Strong understanding of risk management, governance and compliance requirements
• Ability to analyse complex processes, identify inefficiencies and implement practical solutions
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and change management skills
