Job summary

Mindful Business Charter is seeking a technically proficient pensions lawyer to join our pensions team. We welcome candidates at all levels, from newly qualified to experienced practitioners, and we will shape the role around the right person.

You will work on UK pension schemes advising trustees, providers and sponsoring employers. Ideally based within travelling distance of Leeds, Bristol or Newcastle offices.

Qualifications

  • Experience trained and worked in an established pensions law team.
  • Demonstrable experience drafting essential documentation relating to UK pension schemes.
  • Ability to provide guidance and strategic advice on all types of UK pension schemes.

Responsibilities

  • Advise trustees, providers and sponsoring employers on UK pension schemes.
  • Handle day-to-day queries, member complaints, and large-scale restructuring projects.
  • Support DEI initiatives and contribute to developing networks across the firm.

What does the ideal candidate look like?

You'll need to be a technically proficient pensions lawyer. We welcome pension lawyers at every stage of their career, from newly qualified candidates taking their first step into the field to experienced practitioners seeking a new challenge. Our focus is on finding talented individuals with a genuine interest in pensions work, whatever their level of expertise, and we're open to shaping the role around the right person.

To be successful in this role you'll need as a minimum:
  • Experience gained from having trained and worked in an established pensions law team.
  • Demonstrable experience of drafting essential documentation relating to UK pension schemes.
  • Ability to provide guidance and strategic advice on all types of UK pension scheme.

Our Pensions Practice is one of the largest in the UK and has a national client base and reputation to match. The team have a new opportunity for a Pensions Lawyer to strengthen their national offering. Ideally, you'll be based within travelling distance of either our, Leeds, Newcastle or Bristol offices. You'll be joining a highly motivated and supportive team with a wealth of relevant experience.

What will you be doing?

Our team provide a full pensions law service advising trustees, providers, and sponsoring employers of UK pension schemes. Working with some of the UK's largest companies and schemes across a range of sectors, as well as public service and voluntary organisations, their work encompasses the full range of legal advice in relation to UK pension schemes from day-to-day benefit queries and member complaints to large scale restructuring and liability management projects. You'll contribute to the growth and success of the business by helping to develop the families, and women's career development and we're in constant dialogue with our people about how we expand our networks to better support everybody).
