Absolute Law Recruitment is seeking an Associate Solicitor for a leading pensions team in Guildford. The role targets 1-3 years' PQE, offering hybrid working and exposure to trustees, employers and pension scheme providers.

You will handle day‑to‑day pension matters, governance issues, regulatory compliance and due diligence on transactions, with development opportunities and client contact.

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor in England & Wales with 1–3 years' PQE in pensions.
• Strong drafting and analytical legal skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• Commercial awareness and client-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Advise trustees and employers on pension and life assurance matters.
• Advise on scheme governance, benefit structures, regulatory compliance.
• Support pensions aspects of corporate transactions, including due diligence.
• Draft and review scheme documentation and client communications.
• Conduct legal research on pensions legislation and regulation.
• Attend client meetings and deliver practical, commercially focused solutions.
• Contribute to business development and thought leadership.
