KPMG is enhancing its Tax and Legal practice by expanding our ability to offer support to our clients in connection to their pensions obligations. Our pensions team work alongside our 2,400 plus Tax and Legal colleagues, and the new roles we are adding will focus on delivering advice across our client base on pension provision and related issues involving ongoing operations and transactions.

We are seeking talented and experienced Consultants to join our pensions actuarial team. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality actuarial pensions advice related to defined benefit pension schemes in the private sector.

Your responsibilities will include working closely with senior team members to provide:

  • Strategic planning and risk management aiming for self-sufficiency or buyout, including use of surplus.
  • Strategic funding advice to sponsors and compliance with DB funding code.
  • Pension due diligence on mergers and acquisitions.
  • Member education and communication.
  • Advice on benefit changes, design, and implementation.
  • Good governance and compliance advice.
  • Pensions accounting advice.

Description of the Role

  • Understanding of defined benefit pension schemes and actuarial liability calculations.
  • Knowledge of pension accounting standards.
  • Analyzing client data using actuarial techniques and models.
  • Producing technical actuarial work adhering to standards and quality procedures.
  • Checking assumptions and results with developed tools.
  • Drafting reports and communications.
  • Supporting case management and administrative tasks.
  • Ensuring timely delivery of client projects.
  • Developing technical expertise.
  • Maintaining open communication within the team.
  • Financial management, billing, and debt collection.
