Job summary

Grant Thornton’s Actuarial & Risk Modelling team is seeking a commercially minded Manager to lead pensions actuarial engagements, manage client relationships and coach junior staff. The role sits within a growing team of about 15 professionals with clear progression opportunities.

We embrace AI-enabled ways of working and invest in AI capabilities to enhance actuarial modelling, risk analysis and client advisory work, offering visibility and impact across engagements and the firm.

Qualifications

• Qualified Actuary with a Defined Benefit pensions background.
• Experience managing multiple internal or external stakeholders and working to set project timeframes.
• Strong communication and report writing skills.
• Interest in AI, innovation and data-driven advisory services.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of pensions actuarial engagements
• Manage client relationships and act as a trusted adviser
• Review technical work and coach junior team members
• Contribute to business development, proposals and thought leadership
• Support the growth and development of the Actuarial & Risk Modelling practice
