XPS Group in Guildford is offering a 1-year Student Placement in Actuarial Team starting September 2027. This paid placement gives exposure to real client work and a pathway to a Graduate role in the future.

You will support valuation calculations, member valuations, and long-term strategy advice, while developing skills across Excel, data analysis, and client service. Applicants should be pursuing a numerate degree, be organised, collaborative, and ready to contribute to a supportive actuarial

Qualifications

• Successful candidates will be working towards a minimum of a 2:1 honours degree in any discipline, ideally mathematics, economics or a science-based subject.
• Please ensure that you include individual module marks for your university degree to date within your CV.
• A grade (or higher) at A-Level in mathematics is required.

Responsibilities

• Here are typical duties for the placement: assisting with real client issues, performing member calculations, valuations of benefits for pension schemes, and advising on clients’ long-term strategies.
• You will be a valuable member of a motivated, supportive and sociable actuarial team from day one.
