Job summary

Legal & General (L&G) is seeking a Transitions Manager for our Pension Risk Transfer business. You will own scheme-specific transition plans, manage end-to-end activity, and partner with trustees, advisers and administrators to ensure smooth data and benefit verification.

The role focuses on DB pensions with opportunities to lead cross-functional teams, drive delivery, and support business development while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience in the Pension Risk Transfer market.
• Experience administering or onboarding defined benefit pension schemes.
• Strong knowledge of DB pension regulations, including wind‑up requirements and interaction with PPF and FAS.
• Excellent project planning, prioritisation and delivery skills.
• Clear, confident communication with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Developing scheme-specific transition plans for a portfolio of PRT transactions.
• Managing end-to-end transition activity across timelines, risks and milestones.
• Collaborating with trustees, advisers, brokers and administrators to verify data and benefits.
• Supporting PRT business development activities including tenders and site visits.
• Leading internal workstreams and coordinating across L&G to deliver successful transitions.
• Maintaining transition MI and updating management.
