Job Description:

The Industry Assurance team in Cyber Growth runs the Assured Penetration Testing Scheme on behalf of a public sector client, which mandates or strongly recommends such testing across all departments and infrastructure.

The team assesses the methodology and work of all members of the scheme from application through their participation. Members are supported to improve or, if necessary, are removed from the scheme.

We require an experienced senior penetration tester who has quality assured the work of other penetration testers in an operational environment. Experience as an assessor for a penetration testing exam body is also desirable.

Ideally, candidates will have prior experience working within the Scheme but should not have current contracts to avoid conflicts of interest.

The successful candidate should also have experience as a senior member of an adversary simulation team, overseeing and quality assuring team outputs.

The role involves:

• Sampling reports to ensure adherence to standards and technical capability.
• Sampling new Team Leaders’ reports, providing coaching/remedial support as needed.
• Managing new applications from companies wishing to join the Scheme.

SC Clearance is required for this role.

The position is primarily remote (90%), with occasional meetings in Gloucestershire or London.
