Job summary

Hertfordshire Mind in Stevenage seeks a Part-Time Peer Support Worker to manage a one-to-one client caseload and contribute to Social Support Groups. You will provide emotional support and empower individuals to pursue meaningful changes in their lives, within a service that responds to each person’s needs.

The role emphasizes personalised, client-centred assistance grounded in Hope, Courage, Togetherness and Responsiveness, with opportunities across Wellbeing Centres and community settings.

Qualifications

• Great understanding and proven skills in delivering mental health services.
• Proven skills in working with adults with mental health needs.
• Understanding of how mental health and social issues affect wellbeing.
• Experience in group settings and 1:1 support, with ability to create and review risk assessments and support plans.

Responsibilities

• Offer 1-1 support in Stevenage, Hatfield and St Albans as needed.
• Deliver Social Support Groups within Wellbeing Centres.
• Identify individual needs and provide personalised, person-centred support.
• Support clients in community, home, and Wellbeing Centre settings.
• Embed Hertfordshire Mind values in both 1-1 and group support.
• Develop and deliver our groups to ensure quality service.
• Ensure a high-quality, responsive service promoting wellbeing and positive outcomes.
