The Shrewsbury And Telford Hospital NHS Trust is seeking dedicated nurses to join our team in a pediatric ward allied with the Emergency Department. We offer a supportive environment that fosters development for new and experienced staff, with opportunities to learn within a busy, child-focused setting.

Our service includes care for acutely ill children, with experience in high-flow oxygen, CPAP and oncology care in a dedicated area.

Qualifications

Registered Nurse with current UK registration.
Relevant diploma or equivalent experience.
Literacy & numeracy Level 2 or equivalent.
Appropriate level of verbal and written English language skills as determined by formal assessment.
Experience in an acute healthcare environment and commitment to continuing professional development.

Responsabilités

Care for patients by assessing needs, planning care, and ensuring safety.
Collaborate with patients, families and the wider team; monitor condition changes and respond quickly.
Demonstrate professionalism, nursing standards, and advocacy for patient dignity and wishes.
Support and mentor junior staff and students; keep skills and training up to date.
Lead the team, manage workload, and ensure ward runs safely and efficiently.
Maintain clear communication with patients and colleagues and keep accurate records.
