Job summary

Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for a Children’s Respiratory Nurse Specialist to join our Respiratory Specialist Nursing Team. The role covers asthma, allergy and cystic fibrosis, working across Kings Mill Hospital and Newark to deliver specialist care to children and their families.

You will manage a caseload, support nurse-led and consultant-led clinics, perform spirometry and FeNO testing, and develop personalised asthma management plans.

Qualifications

• Experience in paediatric respiratory care is preferred.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team (MDT).
• Knowledge of spirometry and FeNO testing.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of asthma patients and support clinics.
• Develop and monitor asthma management plans.
• Contribute to clinical audit, research and education for staff.
• Provide leadership to a small team and participate in network meetings.
