Job summary

Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust seeks an experienced paediatric asthma nurse specialist to manage a specialist caseload, deliver nurse-led clinics and provide education to families. The role includes coordinating respiratory investigations such as FeNO and spirometry and supporting discharge planning and transition to adult services.

Work in a multidisciplinary team with a strong emphasis on clinical governance, audits and adherence to national asthma standards.

Qualifications

• Paediatric nursing experience, Band 6 or above.
• Mentorship or teaching qualification desired.
• Asthma or respiratory care focus is essential.
• Experience with paediatric care settings and safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist nursing care to children and young people with asthma and respiratory conditions.
• Deliver nurse-led and multidisciplinary clinics.
• Undertake respiratory investigations such as FeNO and spirometry.
• Support safe discharge and transition to adult services.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team and educate staff.
• Contribute to audit, research, quality improvement and clinical governance.
