Job summary

University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust is seeking a dedicated paediatric practice education professional to provide clinical and educational support to the paediatric nursing workforce, with a focus on preceptorship for newly qualified nurses.

You will collaborate with ward managers and multidisciplinary teams to plan training, facilitate development and enable access to learning opportunities across clinical areas, while upholding NHS standards.

Qualifications

• Current professional registration either RSCN or RN Child.
• Evidence of continuous professional development.
• Practice assessor / Mentor and assessing qualification.
• Study at level 6 (degree / diploma).

Responsibilities

• Maintain Trust-wide standards to improve quality of total care.
• Promote health & safety and act on hazards with staff.
• Participate in professional development activities and CPD.
• Take on agreed duties in line with the post grade.
• Cover the work of colleagues during absences or peaks.
• Undertake other duties per Trust policies and directions.
