Job summary

The Physiotherapy Assistant role at Shooting Star Children’s Hospices is a fixed-term, full-time position based in the UK. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to support children and young people with life-limiting conditions, assisting with physical, emotional and social needs and respite care.

You will be based primarily at Christopher's, with duties at Shooting Star House as required, and you will contribute to maintaining a safe, caring, and family-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working with babies, children and young people in health or social care.
• Kind, reliable, compassionate with strong communication.
• Willingness to work weekends and across locations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in meeting physical, emotional and social needs of children.
• Support planned respite, symptom management and end-of-life care as required.
• Work under direction of registered nurses to maintain a safe, family-centred environment.
