Job summary

HCRG Care Group's Children’s Therapy Team in Ewell is seeking a Paediatric Physiotherapy Assistant to support delivery of children's physiotherapy across health centres, nurseries, schools and homes. Under supervision of qualified therapists, you will manage a caseload, run individual and group programmes, and contribute to multidisciplinary planning.

Travel to sites is required, and ongoing training and development are encouraged.

Qualifications

• GCSE English Grade C or above or equivalent.
• Car owner/driver (travel to other sites).
• Ability to use Microsoft Office applications and e-mail.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individual and group physiotherapy programmes under the guidance of a qualified Physiotherapist.
• Implement child-centred, evidence-based therapy plans to support children with complex physical needs.
• Manage a delegated caseload, prioritising workload and monitoring progress against goals.
• Visit homes, nurseries and schools to support postural management, moving and handling, and equipment provision.
• Adjust therapeutic equipment and provide advice and training to parents, carers and education staff on its safe use.
• Communicate effectively with children, families and professionals, providing support and guidance.
• Maintain electronic clinical records and contribute to reports, assessments and referrals.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and attend meetings to support coordinated care planning.
• Support specialist clinics, service improvement projects and departmental initiatives.
• Participate in ongoing training, supervision and professional development.
