Job summary

Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking three skilled and compassionate nurses with experience in caring for children with life-threatening conditions. The role focuses on high-quality, holistic, child-centred palliative care delivered in the home settings for CYP and their families.

Applicants should be registered Children’s Nurse or Adult Nurse, show excellent communication skills, and be able to work autonomously within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• RSCN/RN Child, Adult or Learning Disabilities registrations are required/preferred.
• ENB 998 (Teaching & Assessing in Clinical Practice) or equivalent.
• Community Children’s Nursing qualification or equivalent.
• Specialist Children’s Palliative Care qualification or equivalent.
• Independent prescriber or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional support to the Children’s Community Nursing service and Rapid Response Teams.
• Participate in on-call rota to deliver end-of-life care at home for CYP.
• Demonstrate leadership and management within an experienced team.
